LiteFast
Privacy Policy
1. Overview
LiteFast (“the App”) is an intermittent fasting and lifestyle tracking tool. We take privacy seriously: by default, health and log data stay on your device; we do not require an account, and we do not operate our own servers to collect this data.
The App provides lifestyle and fitness information only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have diabetes, hypoglycemia, a history of eating disorders, or other conditions, consult a physician before fasting.
2. Information we process
When you use the App, the following may be created or stored on your device:
- Fasting logs: start / target / actual end times, plan, optional notes.
- Weight, water, and blood glucose logs: values, timestamps, optional notes; glucose may include meal context and source (manual or Apple Health).
- Onboarding profile & body metrics: goals, sex/age group, height/weight, experience and obstacles (stored in on-device preferences).
- App settings: units, theme, notification toggles, sync toggles, cached subscription status, etc.
- Widget / Live Activity snapshots: summaries of current fasting state for system UI (still on-device).
This information is used inside the App for trends, reports, reminders, and coaching tips, and is not uploaded to our servers (see Optional features below).
3. Optional features & third parties
- Apple Health (HealthKit): If you enable sync and grant permission, the App may read and write blood glucose data so it can stay consistent with Apple Health and other health apps. You can revoke access anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
- iCloud sync (private CloudKit database): If you subscribe to Pro and turn sync on, relevant data may sync to your private iCloud container across your Apple devices. That data is processed by Apple under your Apple ID / iCloud terms; we do not access it as if it lived on our own servers.
- On-device AI coaching: Coaching insights are generated from local records. On devices that support Apple Foundation Models, inference runs on device and health content is not sent to our servers for that purpose. Where on-device models are unavailable, a local rule engine is used—still without an external LLM service.
- In-app purchases: Subscriptions and one-time purchases go through Apple StoreKit / the App Store. Payment, billing, and restore are handled by Apple; we only unlock features on-device based on Apple entitlement status.
- System notifications: If enabled, the system may deliver local reminders (fasting stages, completion, water, etc.). We do not run our own push backend for this.
- Export & sharing: CSV / PDF / share cards are created only when you choose, then sent via the system share sheet to a destination you pick.
This version does not integrate third-party advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. In-app analytics events are stored locally (logs/buffers) for debugging and product improvement and are not automatically sent to our servers.
4. How we use information
- Provide fasting timers, logs, charts, reports, and on-device coaching tips;
- Sync with Apple Health or iCloud when you enable those features;
- Verify and restore in-app purchase entitlements;
- Deliver local notifications according to your settings.
We do not sell your personal or health data.
5. Retention & deletion
- On-device data: Deleting the App removes the local database and related preferences (subject to any device backups you keep).
- iCloud data: If sync was enabled, manage or delete related data via your Apple ID / iCloud settings as guided by Apple.
- Apple Health data: Remains in Apple Health; manage it in the Health app or system settings.
- Purchase records: Retained by Apple under Apple’s privacy and billing policies.
6. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us using the details below and we will help address it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will be revised when we do. For material changes, we may also provide an in-app notice or other reasonable notice.
